They need more support. Access to SEN support has an enormously high bar. Getting an #EHCP is so hard, many parents forced to go to tribunals and face legal costs. The cost of children not getting early intervention will be seen in the coming years. #Autism

This is *straight* out of the play book of 'if we don't count it, it doesn't count'
EHCPs cover such a wide range of needs, educational, physical, medical and emotional. Often one teacher and one TA will have multiple children on plans in a class but the needs can be complex and varied so putting them all next to the TA and hoping for the best is not a workable solution #SEND #EHCP
One of my children got a statement / #EHCP / #SEND . School/ Local Authority fought us every step of the way. We were lucky enough to be able to pay for private support & evidence while we fought the case. Local Authority only folded on steps of tribunal when threatened with JR. #PoliticsLive
