We looked into RRT activations for pts w/ #ESLD who were in the Tx list vs. those who were not.
➡️ we found differences between reasons for RRT activation
➡️ we found differences in the amount of goals of care discussions that happened
➡️ we found no difference in ICU transfers based on Tx candidacy

Hepatic Encephalopathy or HE, is from having ammonia build up in my brain due to my liver not being able to process it. There are many symptoms of this but my current is full body tremors and inability to remember certain words & it sucks. Gonna go drink more lactulose now

Case example of #AKI in #ESLD due to #HRS. As MAP is ⬆️ up from a “normal” baseline 75 to 95 with norepi, the serum Cr displays an inflection point and steadily drops from >5 mg/dL. It doesn’t always happen, but when it does, it’s beautiful. #TheMAPMattersInHRS @OchsnerNephro
