It's hard to think about something as normal as chasing my favorite person around with a camera when my nation is going batshit crazy. Can we do three more years of this? What kind of country will we be after this Administration? Will we get to that point? We've gone all-in on the whimsical madness of a doddering old man infatuated with fantasies of his own power. Underneath him seems to be a cadre of hangers-on who all have their own pet horrors and are racing to achieve them before the whole shithouse goes up in flames. Whether WE continue it or not, we've seemingly declared war on Venezuela and our nincompoop leader literally JUST tweeted that he is now the Acting President. But there's no plan. He also threatened both Cuba and Greenland. And while some of his bootlickers try to brush it off as not-insanity....it's nuts. The news is full of "do you think he'll really do it" and the short answer is "apparently he'll do whatever the fuck he wants". Dismantling our emergency response to natural disasters and disease. Gutting our science and bending our universities to political ends. Dismissing the entire concept of international law. Might makes right and devil take the hindmost. What the actual fuck. There isn't a single member of this Administration that I would trust to pet-sit for a long weekend. And there you have Sunday.
