Infamously unpopular 80s Doctor Who Companion Adric. He is standing by a window looking out into space. A menacing cyberman standa behind him. Adric was killed off in Earthshock attempting to stop the Cyberman's invasion of Earth of the 26th century. His intervention meant that the ship carrying the army was displaced through time and crashed in prehistoric Earth. Killed in the crash, he also destroyed the cyberman army. The crash also led to the extinction of the dinosaurs.

It really is a dire season ender. I’m not a big fan of season 19, but #Earthshock largely works (although I’m not sure what is the point of the androids in part 1) and feels like a natural conclusion to the season

There are many elements that make #Earthshock a great #Cybermen story and #DoctorWho episode. I think it's an underappreciated factor that the Cybermen hadn't appeared in the series for several years and their appearance here was a surprise at the end of episode 1
