This is the worst #editinghell job I've read in a while.
- no geologic setting section so IDK anything about the rocks/location
- no sample info (cagily described) making me wonder if said samples are real
- no substantive methods descriptions
- results are all over the place

IDK how many fossil-adjacent papers get submitted to the #editinghell company, but in my 1100+ manuscripts I have not read one....or seen one available for editing.

Purely based on my #editinghell experience of the last 7+ years...I've read A LOT of manuscripts on rare earth exploration in China. Universally, the manuscripts have failed to contain important components of academic papers (broader impacts, etc), so maybe it just isn't getting published?
With regards to anything about what they observed on these dives.... we'll have to wait for any publications they put out. I doubt they'll be sharing until then.
Guess I should watch to see if anything shows up in my #editinghell dashboard on this cruise in 6 months or so.
I'm not posting my year-end #editinghell numbers bc they're too fuckin depressing.
Now being paid under $200 for a ~10k word job (including a specific editor request bonus) is the norm. Before, I'd make $250+ for the same job.
This has been my exact experience with the #editinghell company. I used to do pretty decently, but now I barely hit $500 editing the same # of words that used to net me $1k.

There is absolutely NO WAY someone in my #editinghell division has edited 793,922 words THIS MONTH... particularly when I can barely make my quota of 30k words. You'd have to edit an average of 26k words PER DAY and NO ONE is that fast.
