Here's something I learned the hard way. I did beta reading and development feedback for a few years. I used Yahoo, thinking it was safe. Boy, was I stupid. My email got hacked. I lost all my proof and info. Now, I have to start over. Saving everything for now on.

Machines don't understand ligatures as combinations, but as specific characters. Ligatures scramble your text for OCR and search.
