Another story, this a repost to the Seattle Times (who should hiiiiiiire me) from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram (they’ve run stories of mine out of Houston, and since they’re part of the Hearst family, I am NO LONGER eligible for rehire there lol, and with good reason; I’ll tell that story someday, it’s fun) IT’S STILL FUCKING HILARIOUS 🤣 I am truly saddened that these homeowners had to go through this insane and terrifying ordeal, but… I don’t get the sense they’re THAT torn up about it? lol. I lived in Texas almost my whole life. Nearly half the people you meet day-to-day are constantly devoting some percentage of their computing power to preparing for PRECISELY the scenario in this story. They’re kinda hoping for it…
