One thing I see in #ficwriter land is the agita of the "unread list." If you're reading for joy, by all means! But you can tell when you're just a bullet on someone's list bc they want you to read their fic too.

Not the one the yound man perfumes on at his vanity, but the fresh one that gathers in his neck after a shower... the one he wears when he comes sweating from his family forge... Silco pauses. He pats the head pillows some. There is something, off about the woody smell. Something not Jayce. Instead it's sweet, coffee-scented instead of tea. This is not his smell, he realizes first. Or: Jayce forgets to tell Silco he platonically, literally sleeps with his best friend. (Not that he thought it needed mentioning.)
