Gregg Araki’s confrontational #MysteriousSkin is still a difficult watch. This is testament to the potency of Araki’s imagery, and the power of the performances. Both Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Brady Corbet do career best work in my opinion. #FilmRewatch
Hitomi Kuroki is superb in Hideo Nakata’s #DarkWater. I love the the production design & cinematography on this one. Not sure how much real location or studio work went into the creation of the apartment block, but it has such an eerie & oppressive quality. #FilmRewatch
I fall more in love with #GetOut with every subsequent viewing. This picture is so well written; the dialogue pops & bites. Everything feels so well considered and every frame, every glance, tells an individual story.
Daniel Kaluuya delivers a phenomenal performance. #FilmRewatch
It has been a #BusterKeaton double today of #SteamboatBillJr and #SherlockJr.

#TheTenant is a masterclass in psychological horror. Some of the fleeting imagery in the final third really creeps you out, and lingers long in the mind. #FilmRewatch
Rewatched Argento’s #Suspiria for the first time in a long while. It still blows me away; the use of colour, score and atmosphere is entrancing. #FilmRewatch
As a modern fairytale, #SleeplessInSeattle is a balm for our cold, cynical world; or it is just simplistic, privileged naval-gazing - depending what mood you’re in I guess. #FilmRewatch
#NosferatuTheVampyre has a really peculiar atmosphere, full of the idiosyncrasies one comes to expect from Werner Herzog. Klaus Kinski’s performance as Dracula is probably my favourite interpretation of the character on screen. #FilmRewatch
I can't add anything new to the praise that’s already been heaped on #Network. It's still prescient today; note perfect direction by Lumet; razor-sharp script by Chayefsky; exceptional performances across the board. U.S. film doesn’t get much better than this. #FilmRewatch
Raoul Walsh’s #WhiteHeat zips along at a break-neck speed, wonderfully assembled by master editor Own Marks. James Cagney is electric throughout. #FilmRewatch
#MalcolmX’s story is incredible and important; full of incident and contradiction. The Spike Lee biopic never really came alive for me, due in part to an unfocused script and staid direction. Washington does nail the central performance though. #FilmRewatch
#InsideMan has plenty of good moments, and it is funnier than I had remembered. Although I felt some of the casting didn’t work too well, and the script needed some polishing. #FilmRewatch
#GhostbustersAnswerTheCall was not as enjoyable as I had remembered that it was, yet it still held together pretty well, largely thanks to great casting. #FilmRewatch
#Matinee really is a lovely film. Affectionate and fun, it is perfect viewing for a lazy afternoon. #FilmRewatch
