Ending a 72 year quest to give women the right to vote in the United States the 19th amendment was passed in Tennessee by just one vote!

On August 18, 1920, Tennessee became the 36th and final state to ratify the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which guaranteed women the right to vote in federal and state elections. It passed by just one vote! Never say your vote doesn’t make a difference.
