"Purple Fusion" by Kimberly Watson is a Wing and a Prayer design. Kimberly took a 5 lesson class to make this quilt 5 years ago. It became a UFO until a friend came to visit and acted as her sewing assistant to get the piecing done. So, with a little push, Kim now has a lovely quilt.

This is the famous Beatles Quilt that is in there permanent collection. It was made by Pat Holly and Sue Nickels. it is machine appliqued, pieced, and quilted. On the back of the quilt they wrote the lyrics for all the songs. Try Googleing "Paducah Beatles Quilt.."

I think this is a Flora Joy quilt. I saw it at the 2021 show. I know you will enjoy it. Flora has won 134 awards for her quilting. You won't believe how detailed this quilt is. Actually it's hard to believe it's made out of fabric. She's a fiber arts genius. Close-ups attached.

"Mariposas Mi Amigas"
Gail Garber from Albuquerque, NM designed the background pattern for this showstopper quilt, and her BFF Donna Barnits designed the butterflies. They used ultrasuede for the butterflies so they wouldn't fray after quilting.

This is "Derek's Quilt."
Carole Valenzuela made this quilt for her 14 yo grandson. He selected the pattern, called Interwoven, and fabrics. Young Derek has a very keen eye! I can help wondering if Derek will become a designer.

This gorgeous quilt was displayed at the 2019 Santa Clara Quilt Show. I do not know the name of the artist but she/he is very talented. I will attach a close-up the embroidered appliqued kokopelli. It's so well done.

Bobbie Whitlock did a lovely job on this kaleidoscope quilt which she named "Hydrangeas in the Garden.'
As you can see, she was awarded two ribbons for her efforts.
I had never realized that hydrangeas would look so spectacular in this method.

Darby Gray named this quilt "Hometown Halloween Hoopla." Darby saw this jelly roll of the Hometown Halloween fabric line but she wasn't sure how to use it. When she saw the Brilliant Swirl pattern it all really "jelled." This was Darby's first quilt from start to finish. 👏👏👏👏👏

I have seen several of this type of quilt and I think the visual appearance of the Aurora Borealis lends itself nicely to the swirling kaleidescope colors.

This was a square in a protest quilt. (The protest quilts were unnamed.) It shows barbed wire, that is not only bars to confine which need to be broken, but depicts a painful experience.
