A screen shot of Google's dumbass AI summary about me, which reads as follows: "Stephvee (Stephanie Vee) is an independent web developer and blogger known for maintaining a personal website, https://stephvee.ca, focused on "nerdy stuff" and indie web principles. Based on her Bluesky post, she recently updated her site, featuring pixel art, CSS optimization, and a personal blog. Key Aspects: IndieWeb Advocate: Actively promotes creating personal, independent websites and using static site generators. Web Development: Specializes in clean HTML/CSS, often blogging about her site’s technical updates. Digital Presence: Known as @st3phvee on Mastodon and @stephanievee on Bluesky. Note: This appears to be different from the "stephanie vee" photography account found on Flickr." Below the AI summary, my site is the first search result. Beneath the link, where you'd usually see a description, you see "No information is available for this page." The lack of a description is intended, BECAUSE I SPECIFICALLY ASKED GOOGLE NOT TO CRAWL MY SITE VIA ROBOTS.TXT.
Hey, Bluesky: stop allowing Google to scrape my account, please and thanks. I block Google from my robots.txt on my website for a reason, and it would be nice if you'd stop making it so easy for them to gain access to data that I've deliberately withheld from them.
