Hey @hdtgm.bsky.social - not sure if anyone brought this up, but… belatedly… we just realized upon rewatch that John Carpenter’s #GhostsOfMars includes the same recycled shot of Ice Cube throwing explosives out of the train door. No less than 3 times in a row! Same exact shot!

Gonna be honest I don’t think Ghosts of Mars is THAT bad. Is it John Carpenter’s best? No. Personally i liked it more than Vampires. It has neat ideas and a lot of those definitely inspired the creation of Dead Space.

Out of all Carpenter’s movies, Ghosts of Mars is one of his worst, with bad acting and a messy story, but still enjoyable. Getting ripped before defo helped 😂. This 4K release from shout factory looks great . Film 5/10 PQ 8/10
