Killdeer sitting on a nest. There are many rocks on the ground behind her and a tuft of green grass and a few rocks in front. Two eggs can be seen just below her belly. They are a light cream color with irregular black splotches. The bird itself is all white underneath with brown feathers on top and brown on the top of its head. Below that are six alternating white and black stripes going down to is breast. It's a little difficult to tell but the eye is mostly black, with a thin orange circle at the outer edge. It has a short black beak.
