One fully open flower surrounded by several others in various stages of opening. The ray flowers are many in a sinlge row, spatulate, a rich sherbet orange; the disc flowers are tiny and brown, in a cone, opening from the base up.

A single Helenium seedhead with most of the seeds dispersed revealing the seed dock and the points where the seeds once docked. A fringe of seeds form a broken circle around the seed dock with some seeds missing at 9 o'clock.
Two Helenium seed heads sit side by side with some seeds forming a link between the two seed heads. Both seed heads are partially bare where seeds have dispersed and are ringed by the remaining seeds.
