I think my friend and I finally mastered refreshments at the British Library for #histfest on Saturday-pack some butties and take a flask. I have never felt such fury as the hours long queue for a coffee as that at the BL coffee stall in the lobby!

What a brilliant conversation hosted by @drjaninaramirez.bsky.social at #HistFest #MedievalFest. It makes me want to go and read some poetry. I was surprised, but perhaps I shouldn't have been, that they managed to turn to such depth and relevance at the end, on the power of poetry in times of war.
