An aerial photograph taken from an Austrian Army helicopter of a middle Neolithic circular ditch system in Puch, Austria. The system was identified by magnetometry then marked on the ground by the farmer planting mustard around the ditches. Delegates of the 2001 International Conference on Archaeological Prospection stand in the innermost circle as a human palisade.
Coincidentally, my father in law used to work for the Puch automotive company, an Austrian car manufacturer that was a subsidiary of Steyr.
