Kerr County had access to IPAWS — the national emergency alert system — and even used it before. But during the deadly floods, they failed to issue proper warnings. That’s not just negligence, it’s a public safety failure. People deserve answers.

Most people don’t know this, but @PBS is part of the backbone of America’s emergency alert system.
• Helps push IPAWS alerts (AMBER, weather, etc.)
• Broadcast-based = works when cell towers go down
• Trusted info during crises
