Ha! My #IRIX system is back up and running! I was able to work out using "versions | grep kernel" that there was a patch "patchSG0007060" installed which is a kernel rollup patch.

I was then able to use "versions remove patchSG0007060" to uninstall it, and finally by calling /etc/autoconfig I […]

Iridex Announces New Thermal Dynamics Study That Strengthens Clinical Foundation and Market Potential of MicroPulse® Technology and Continuous-Wave Laser for Glaucoma Treatment Iridex (Nasdaq: IRIX) announced a newly published computational study in Translational Vision Science & Technology modeling thermal dynamics of transscleral glaucoma lasers.The Monte Carlo simulations compared continuous-wave TSCPC (CW-TSCPC) and MicroPulse TLT using Iridex Cyclo G6, G-Probe and MicroPulse P3. Results: CW-TSCPC produced a ~2 mm thermal zone with temperatures >100°C for ~2.2 seconds, while MicroPulse TLT produced a smaller 0.6–1.2 mm zone with peak temperatures below 100°C and more uniform heat distribution.Authors say both techniques lie on a thermal continuum and may serve complementary clinical roles with further optimization.
