I have not had the internet to self host anything, However, From my deep research into it, Those kinds of apps don't break as often because they don't need to be updated all the time like an OS. Is it just that buggy? That's a bit of a shame, Because i did quite like the pitch #immich made.

J'expérimente #pixelunion qui utilise #immich pour remplacer la partie photos de mon #Nextcloud qui avait lui même remplacé #Google Photos : très sympa ! Puis 16go en version gratuit c'est déjà très bien !
Par contre impossible de "retourner" les photos : vous avez déjà eu ce genre de problème ?

Managed to update the self-hosted Google Photos alternative #Immich from v1.120.2 to v2.5.6! 🎉 It only took 7 hours and a lot of help from Gemini Pro Deep Research. Immich is a super good app, but jesus, the database version migration was difficult after their architecture change... 😅

Avant d'éventuellement créer un #Immich sur un #Yunohost je vais donc tester #pixelunion qui a l'air sympa (16go en gratuit ! et pas très cher au delà)
Un peu "déçu" par mon #Nextcloud côté Photos (j'y ai ma part de responsabilité) hébergé par mes soins sur mon cloud.
Et tjs mieux que #Google

TIL that #Immich hard-codes all its paths into its postgresql database. What a nightmare for migrations. None of the tasks in the UI helped. Tried replacing it in the db, no chance. Had to resort to bind mounting shenanigans.
