- Suriye’nin Şam (Dimaşk) kentinde, Lübnan’a bağlanan ana ulaşım aksı üzerinde konumlanan çok işlevli bir yapıya ait cephe tasarımı ele alınmaktadır. Yapı programı; bodrum katta üretim ve imalat atölyeleri, zemin katta kamusal kullanıma açık showroom alanları ve üst katlarda ofis birimlerinden oluşacak şekilde kurgulanmıştır. Cephe tasarımı; yapının bulunduğu kentsel bağlam, ana yol üzerindeki görünürlük düzeyi ve işlevsel katmanlaşma dikkate alınarak geliştirilmiştir. Üretim, sergileme ve yönetim fonksiyonlarının cephede okunabilir olması hedeflenmiş; bu doğrultuda ölçek, malzeme ve ritim kararları katlar arasında hiyerarşik bir ilişki kuracak biçimde ele alınmıştır. Tasarım yaklaşımı, çağdaş mimari dil ile bölgenin iklimsel ve kentsel karakterine uyumlu, dengeli ve temsil gücü yüksek bir cephe kurgusu oluşturmayı amaçlamaktadır. - The facade design of a mixed-use building planned to be constructed in Damascus, Syria, along the main transportation axis connecting the city to Lebanon is addressed. The architectural programme is structured with production and manufacturing workshops located on the basement level, publicly accessible showroom spaces on the ground floor, and office units positioned on the upper floors. The facade design has been developed in response to the building’s urban context, its high visibility along the main road, and the functional stratification of the programme. A primary design objective is to ensure the legibility of production, exhibition, and administrative functions on the facade. Accordingly, decisions regarding scale, materiality, and rhythmic composition have been employed to establish a clear hierarchical relationship between the different levels. The overall design approach aims to achieve a contemporary architectural expression that is both contextually responsive and representative, while remaining compatible with the climatic and urban characteristics of the region.
