So, I see many people not wanting to celebrate the holiday or the 250th anniversary of the United States as you don't feel free. I argue that is exactly what these villainous scumbags want. They want you to feel defeated. They want you hopeless. So in this time, it is more important to remember exactly what those who fought to free us from the tyranny of a King fought for. What was put forth as our grievances with the British were. To remember that a Nation is not one person or a small group. It is the people who make up its fabric and a willingness to look at its past, both the good and the bad, and learn from both to be better. Those right now who control the levers of power and seek to bring despair and ruin, especially as they are pretty much all clutching the Bible to justify their actions, they should remember the words of Proverbs 16:18… ‘Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.” They would also do well to remember the words “sic semper tyrannis”… that is not a threat from me. But a warning of what history and the world will likely wrought upon them in the end. So now, more than ever, remember the spirit this nation was founded and built on. The same spirit that woke up on a December day in 1941 and fought a war on two fronts. The spirit that says we don’t back down from a challenge. Trump, his regime, his circle of cowards and yes men? They threw down the gauntlet. Pick it up and accept the challenge and don’t pull your punches. We ain’t done yet.
