A short 1 year old green thorny bush with 12+ blooming bright pink roses and a few more buds ready to bloom sits within a narrow rectangle of grass along an old fence line. About 3 feet away on the same strip of grass is a taller rose bush, about 11 years old that was taken from an unproductive spot in another part of the property where it was dying three years ago and replanted here. It now produces light pink roses.
View of the pool from the porch which is adorned with many plants: potted dill, orange marigolds, a bushy fern, a hanging light green leafy plant, tomato starter plants, a potted citronella, and a pink, yellow and green tropical plant in the rock bed.
One small strawberry on its vine
Picture of the back patio facing the house. A potted black bamboo (extremely invasive); an ambitious new pot filled with fresh soil and red beet seeds; a potted gardenia that just doesn’t seem to like anywhere I put it and won’t bloom flowers (yet); a half-barrel pot full of aggressive strawberry vines and lavender, both doing very well; a blueberry bush, with a few yellow leaves, signaling it needs attention, some more acidic soil, nutrients and possibly a change of location.
