Wanted to migrate my backup from Veam on my Windows PC because it doesn't really work anymore and i'd want something OSS.

Tried #Plakar Wants a github login for plugins, Nope.
Tried #Kopia UI is bad, wants a Known Hosts to connect to SFTP ?

Maybe I should just write my own 🤷

After my Kopia backup got corrupted (somehow), I finally bit the bullet and installed Proxmox Backup Server

I'm actually upset I didn't do it sooner.

If you’re using the Kopia FOSS backup tool, be advised that there’s a bug in the newly released v.0.21.0 that will cause it to keep making “snapshots” over and over again. You’ll probably want to revert to v.0.20.1 until this is fixed.

Hab ich schon mal meine große Zufriedenheit mit der Backupsoftware „#Kopia“ geäußert?

Open Source, Windows, Linux, Weboberfläche und auch eigenes GUI, alternativ auch Kommandozeile.
Sparsam, unsichtbar, schnell.

Ich hab mein altes #Duplicati durch #Kopia ersetzt.

Update:

All I got done tonight was offsite backups, and technically I didn't even get it 100% done (got as far as setting up backup integrity monitoring, a B2 bucket, and performing my first kopia sync). Next up is to get the sync running nightly with monitoring and logs.
