And this time she is, like with Nemo Nemo, again leaning full force into Camp. The whole song screams second generation and this concept matches her so well (while she can also pull off more nuanced styles like last years 'Being a Good Girl Hurts' as well).

The title track is called “Sugar Talk,” and in it, she describes how she is falling for the words and voice of a lover, with no chance but to fall deeper and deeper.

LMAO I forgot to add this one:
- learn basic conversation level Korean (I already started this in 2025 but I'm slacking)

I might be visiting Korea in autumn so this one's actually on a timer; would you guys wanna see some posts about how that's going throughout the year?

Learned a new word: 민요 (minyo) for tradition Korean folk song.

This version of 아리랑 (Arirang) by #송소희 / #SongSoHee makes me want to listen to BTS’ version again 😅 mostly because the latter part of this song (where the tempo picks up) reminds me of it.

...I admire how this textbook escalated its section on interjections.

And Naver gave some fun translation examples including, "Snakes!" and "Beshrew me!" for the oh fuck phrase.

Fun Korean phrase for today:

살맛이 나다

figuratively means life's worth living. So Tannies including MYG post today, and all ARMY felt 살맛이 났다 (it made your day, made life worth living).

Interestingly, 살맛 literally means the taste of flesh, flesh being metonymous for life.

Update on Lingo Legends: it's definitely fun and motivating to learn Korean, the vocabulary is also closely related to day-to-day life topics, so it's actually useful, but I need to integrate a more practical part to fully un-block myself.
Have you ever played it?

a close up of a person 's face in front of a blackboard with math equations written on it Alt: A close up of a person’s (Min Yoongi of BTS) face while he’s thinking hard about something and looking confused while math equations keep popping up around him.

It’s always been difficult to come up with what I want to write, say, draw etc. when there’s an assignment. So today I was like what do I write about when the topic is 핀란드 생활 (Finnish life) because though the topic is given I don’t know enough vocabulary to write what I want to say 🥲 #LearningKorean

#LearningKorean isn’t just vocab—it’s context.

If you can follow these terms, you’re reading Korea between the lines.

Even most Koreans don’t know this much history (seriously, quiz your friends).

So both Korean and Japanese adopted the German word "Arbeit" (work, job) into their languages (아르바이트 and アルバイト or just バイト) but they both changed the meaning to "part-time job". Interesting how stuff like that happens 🤔

Screen shot of Naver dictionary entry for 입술이 없으면 이가 시리가 which literally translated to, "Your teeth will freeze if you do not have lips."

The example situation says:

A: Even though we'll suffer some damages, we still need to maintain the contract with the outside company.

B: Right. Of course, your teeth will freeze if you don't have lips.

This must be an idiom, but this dictionary entry is...a little unhelpful.

Haha, yes, I got that that is literally what it means, but its figurative meaning is still unclear?

Did You Know Korean Has Long Vowels?🌰
Did You Know Korean Has Long Vowels?🌰 YouTube video by Talk To Me In Korean

So I just found out about long vowels in Korean (see video). His example here is:

밤 (bam) with a long vowel = chestnut
밤 (bam) with a short vowel = night

So of course, my first question is which one is Jungkook's Bam? Which one does Jungkook say?
