It's interesting that people've decided that when social media *won't* protect it's users that, unlike every other previous instance where government stepped in to regulate the industry that wouldn't do it voluntarily we've decided to regulate the victims of that failure. #LibDemConf

I raised the impact of the government's attempt to cut Universal Credit and PIP, as well as the urgent need to tackle issues with the cost of living, affordable housing, and pensioner poverty.

Great to listen to @cllrmikeross.bsky.social, the Leader of Hull City Council at #LibDemConf this morning. Mike talked about how the Liberal Democrats are working hard across Hull and East Yorkshire, challenging Labour, standing up for local residents and clearing up the Conservatives mess.
