The water level is shallow in the creek bed, 4-6 inches deep upstream from the dam. Reflections of the trees on the bank opposite the photographer color the deeper water. Starting a crocheted dishcloth. One loop on my hook and the first three rows of the cloth are worked in double crochet (US). The yarn is 100% cotton and dyed in a rainbow pattern. The hook is a vintage Susan Bates Size 8 or H (US) or 5.00mm. The hook was my grandmothers and is circa the 1960’s - on the flip side of the flat (opposite this size side showing in the frame) is stamped with “Susan 29¢ Bates.” Shot on a Light Phone III.
