I always check the birds in the trees by Lytchett Bay Rock Lea View feeding station from distance in case they all fly off, hoping for a Brambling. Was not expecting this Snow Bunting sat high in the trees!

The Rookery local to Lytchett Fields RSPB seems to have started expanding in the past year or so, and now has an outpost in the recording area. They were quite busy in the sun on Monday.

Went to Lytchett Heath looking for Bearded Tits. No definite sightings/hearings (?!?), just distant flashes/pings, but these lovely Reed Buntings popped up just in front of the reed bed.

A Grey Wagtail is stood on a bed of fallen Oak leaves
There has been a Grey Wagtail on Watery Lane at Lytchett Fields RSPB for my past few visits, but this time it didn't leg it as soon as I got within 10m of it. The sun way also pretty handily placed too!

A Red Fox walks past a Marsh Harrier which is sat on the ground, neither seemingly bothered by the other
We were at Lytchett Fields RLV on New Year's Eve and this Fox walked straight past the Marsh Harrier, feet away! They didn't seem interested in each other at all.
