yup. my used 2021 #macbookpro 14” m1 max with 10 core cpu, 32core gpu, 64gb ram, 4tb ssd def is a bit overkill for my workflow even in 2025 😂 not a video creator but light gamer, it/media dude. haven’t seen swap used yet, max memory used 40gb of 64gb. just crazy how good the #m1max was/is for most

I still don’t want to upgrade from Monterey. I had too many problems encoding h.264 it really just does h.265 - better but less compatible. And my Logitech flickers with it. But I want FCP 11!!

I just got the new #m4max #macbookpro and its pretty nice, but it doesn't make me feel like my #m1max was lacking. I feel like performance is seeing diminishing returns making innovative design even more important to differentiate hardware.
