I just processed this photo of the Owl Nebula #M97 that I took a few weeks back. It’s made up of 3 concentric shells, giving the illusion that it’s out of focus. I thought the faint blue halo was a mistake on my part but it really does exist!

The Owl Nebula shines as a bright green orb in the center of the image, surrounded by a backdrop of stars. Darkened spots give the appearance of eyes in the middle of the nebula. It’s pretty cool.
