The start of a stranded colourwork hat which has a pattern repeat of five gray wolves on a dark blue background, howling at the moon. The brim of the hat is green and brown with tan speckles, which is supposed to be the ground.

I successfully knit the wolves, but it took so much manual needle selection 😭 The machine's been brought to the workshop for cleaning & figuring out what's wrong.

Next time I might just do more dark blue ribbing at the brim instead of the 'ground' effect.

I am modeling a burgundy and gray hat that is not only too large on me, but significantly too tall as well. This is a top-down view that shows the pointed crown of the hat.

First attempt at a machine-knit shaped colourwork crown was... well, let's just say I'm glad I'd already considered this to be a prototype hat before I got started. I think a pompom will fix it, though :)

Okay. I successfully did a comb cast on and a e-wrap cast on. Had a little trouble figuring out tension and random floats, but I made two more swatches.

And then put the machine away.

Did my first test. This took me longer than I want to admit but once I got started it went pretty fast. :D

I think most of my issues was this yarn was too thick. Might be pushing it with worsted weight. XD

I decided to invest in a flat bed knitting machine, but I am finding it difficult to find accessories (like transfer tools) for the Mid Gauge (6.5mm) I got. Everything online feels like its for Standard (4.5mm) or Bulky (9mm) XD; #machineknitting
