Progress finally on this #MaxEffort #BTNpress, though hard-won. I failed three times to get that 112.5 PR but somehow managed on the fourth after donning a belt. Part of my trouble was my right side lagging again, but bringing up the pins last time seemed to help, so fixable. 90x7,6 backdowns.

Finally back to progressing on #MaxEffort #HackenschmidtSquats, here for 75, 85, and the 92.5 PR, which seemed easy enough, but I still couldn't quite manage 95 after that. Then it was 70x2x9 backdowns, which matches my best set from December, but twice in this case.

Saturday's #MaxEffort #LarsenDeadBench for 205, 215, and the 225 only matching my best, but I feel better about resuming progression. Then 180x2x5 backdown, a 145x8 #JMpress PR any which way (they're all PRs as of last month), and finally, ascending #strictCurls up to the 90x5 PR.

Yesterday's #MaxEffort #ZercherSquats for 275, 285, and the 300 PR. Then 235x2x5 backdowns. My second session ever with Zercher squats.

#MaxEffort #Deadlift but only matching my best of 435 since it's been so long. It moved easily enough I probably could have managed at least 440, and I did try to follow up with an attempt, but no dice. Should go next time though, just had to touch base before moving on.

#MaxEffort #ringHSPU here. Still can't do this depth from the bottom up, but I did manage to add another 5lb (BW+10) going from top down. I also decided to start making sure to bring each backdown rep to a dead-stop, which did knock down the reps quite a bit but should help the dead single along.

#MaxEffort #deadPreachers for the 105x6 PR and 90x12 for no PR. Then a little demo of a unilateral row variation I cooked up, basically just a #ringPullAround, performed for 10 on both sides. This was all after pullup PRs for BW+60x6 and BW+35x13.

No PRs on the #MaxEffort #seatedPress but plenty of discernible progress, I think. Even recovered the misgroove at 140 pretty well. Backed down with submax 5s and backed off with a #BTNpress AMRAP.

And so proceed the #gains on this #MaxEffort #SLDL, here for 365, 385, and the 410 PR. Honestly wasn't even feeling that strong today, hence the hypeup. That's 15lb worth of PRs on this in the last three months. Then it was 325x5 on the backdowns. All of this was after submax pin squats as per usual

#MaxEffort #ringHSPU here, this time performing them top-down for a change of pace (like a pin press rather than dead): warmups from +1" and 0", then the PR of -2"x4. I did attempt that depth bottom-up but still couldn't quite manage, at least after that 4 rep set. I did manage a BW+5x1 PR, though.

#MaxEffort here on this first time trying #ZercherSquats, paused. Managed 245, 275, and 295, then backdowns of 225x2x5. Didn't really figure out the breathing very well until the backdowns. Also tried Zercher goodmornings, but I'm not so sure about the form yet.

Gave #JMpress its own #MaxEffort day, whereas it had previously been tacked onto a bench variation's own max day. Now it's a first class citizen in the bench max rotation.

Here I do 145, 155, the 165 10lb PR, and then a 175 PR on top of that. Then I managed backdowns of 135x2x8.

Still no joy on the #MaxEffort paused #benchPress which is stuck while my close grip gets near to its level (practically at its current level and within 5% of its peak). This means I need to precede this variation with lighter work, rather close grip, which is equivalent.

This #MaxEffort #ringHSPU session seemed unreasonably difficult at first: my warmup single at -0.5" almost didn't even start, and -1.5 actually didn't until I thought to move rings out, presumably to where they had been before. We'll see if that ring position helps to get things moving again.

#MaxEffort #closeGripBench here was tenuous affair: after 220 and 230, the 245 PR got a bit iffy toward lockout, possibly because I wasn't sufficiently "rooted" for the leg drive and misgrooved a bit until after a little adjustment. Then it was 195x2x5 backdowns.

Down in the dumps with all my pressing work (bench and OHP) which I think comes down to "shouldering" too much volume, owing to my anthropometry.

This #MaxEffort #BTNpress wasn't so bad though, here for 95, 105, a failed 115 PR, and then a 110 salvage. Backdowns for 85x2x10 was at least improvement
