And so proceed the #gains on this #MaxEffort #SLDL, here for 365, 385, and the 410 PR. Honestly wasn't even feeling that strong today, hence the hypeup. That's 15lb worth of PRs on this in the last three months. Then it was 325x5 on the backdowns. All of this was after submax pin squats as per usual

#MaxEffort #SLDL here for 365, 385, and finally that 400 PR (wasn't such a chore now, was it?). Probably could have done 405 without too much trouble having spaced this out from from my regular #deadlift in the rotation, but we'll see how 405 moves next time before such a jump. Backdowns for 315x5.

Practically everything else seems to be progressing nicely, but just can't quite hack 400 on this #MaxEffort #SLDL, here for 365, 385, and a failed 400. I guess it's at least progress having budged it as far as I did, since I couldn't even budge it on prior attempts in previous sessions.

#MaxEffortMethod #SLDL for 315, 365, and 395 with 320x5 backdown. Only matched my best, but I'll be shifting my grouping up next time (325, 375, 405) and giving it an extra week and a half before that attempt having added snatch-grip #deadlift into rotation, reducing frequency of specificity.

#MaxEffortMethod on #SLDL for 355, 385, and 395. First time ever maxing out on any variation of #deadlift other than conventional. First time filming it too: noticing I brace with a rounded upper back on these, unlike on conventional--cool with that, considering no issues from it for years.

Oh man, 350x3x5 #SLDL was grueling by the last set after 3 sets of those squats, but probably because last time I was in a taper when I reset to 345 and only did two sets. Still have to do roman situps for 14+ rep sets with a 45 hanging off my shoulders as well as finger and wrist curls after that.

My #SLDL is now matching my #deadlift from ten months back for 365x3 at a bodyweight 15lb lighter than I was then, and my deadlift is at least 30lb heavier (hopefully 35+ soon enough) Not bad for still being in a mild deficit.

So far so good on my first week of this #powerlifting prep. Got a solid 325x5x5 on #squat (been a while since my knee would tolerate 5x5) and banging out some mean fahves on #closeGripBench at 190. Still got some #SLDL at 325 and some developmental #ringTraining yet, then two days rest'll be callin'

Also managed a nice little PR triple of 360 with this first day reintroducing conventional #SLDL back into rotation, which was a nice way to cap off this taper as well this whole phase of training before my #powerlifting prep takes me back to fives for a spell.

I'm switching back to a conventional #SLDL in anticipation of my meet prep starting in a week for a number of reasons: it's trivially easy to set it up in a conventional stance; it's more specific to conventional #deadlift; I've widened out my squat stance and because of it have less to gain by sumo

Actually tried #sumoSLDL today since I was wanting to drop my #SLDL back down to fives anyhow, at least briefly until I get to my #deadlift singles. I warmed them up to 325, which wasn't entirely incautious, and to my surprise they felt good but hefty. To my great chagrin, I'm prolly built for sumo.
