Ich höre viele gute Ideen über fairen oder biologischen Handel, aber mir kommt eine Reaktion und ein Gedanke. Zunächst einmal halte ich es für übertrieben, sich eine substanzielle Veränderung vorzustellen, die darauf beruht, dass der Verbraucher mehr zahlt. In den meisten europäischen Ländern werden unsere Erzeuger von den Zwischenhändlern mit einem Hungerlohn abgespeist, da die Erzeuger von Subventionen leben können, also von öffentlichen Geldern, die aus den Taschen der Verbraucher kommen. Die Verbraucher zahlen auch für die hohen Gesundheitskosten, die durch industrielle Lebensmittel, Umweltverschmutzung und Arbeitslosigkeit entstehen. Letztendlich hat der Verbraucher über die Steuern bereits 3/4 des billigen Produkts im Regal bezahlt, bevor er es überhaupt gekauft hat. Unter diesen Umständen ist es schwer, ihn zu bitten, das „faire“ oder biologische Produkt zu wählen, das teurer ist, weil es nicht subventioniert wird. Darüber hinaus ist es bei importierten Produkten oft schwierig zu überprüfen, ob die Voraussetzungen für die Vergabe des Bio- oder Fairtrade-Labels erfüllt sind. Nun eine allgemeinere Überlegung: Meine Ansicht ist, dass die neoliberale Revolution der späten 1970er Jahre mit einem ideologischen Korpus kam, der beinhaltete, dass der Staat so wenig wie möglich regulieren, aber mehr subventionieren sollte. Ein Scheck für Benzin, ein anderer für Lebensmittel, Subventionen für Produzenten und Verbraucher, die niedrige Preise ermöglichen. Der Verzicht auf die Rolle des Schutzstaates ermöglicht es den Industriellen, die Folgen ihres Modells (Armut, Gesundheit, Arbeitslosigkeit) nicht zu tragen. Dasselbe Prinzip gilt auch für „Billiglohnländer“. Es ist nicht so, dass eine Marke aus Liebe zu Bangladesch dort produziert, sondern weil dieser Staat, wie andere auch, seine Rolle als Schutzmacht für seine Bevölkerung nicht wahrnimmt (keine Umweltverschmutzung, keine Kinderarbeit, keine Zerstörung der natürlichen Ressourcen, etc.). One of my greenhouses set on Spanish style peel and stick tiles we installed on top of a waterproof tarp.
Mike using caulk in between the peel and stick tiles; this will help keep it water tight.
The greenhouse flooring is IN! Mike is just finishing up sealing the tiles!
Flora is the one already downstairs. Fauna, which is twice as long as Flora, will be brought inside soon. One (Fauna) will be for higher temps than the other.

A green food dehydrator has five trays of strawberries in it. Three of them are labeled front because for some reason the trays really don't fit together except in one particular way.
8 lbs of 🍓🍓🍓 doesn't seem like THAT much until you start processing them for preserves and dehydration. 😝😭
