Modders Create Futurama Sequel To Simpsons Hit & Run Since it’s been around forever, The Simpsons has a long history with video games, going back to the 8-bit era. There have been highs (the arcade game) and lows (most of everything else), but the one thing most can agree on is that one of the best Simpsons games, if not THE best, was Simpsons Hit & Run, released in 2003 on then-modern machines PS2, Gamecube and XBox, as well as the PC. At its core it was a GTA clone, but it wore its skin well, providing a fully featured sandbox Springfield to mess around in, sprinkled with lots of authentic humor from the show. Unfortunately, Simpsons Hit & Run has never been re-released, leaving fans of the game to keep the flame alive themselves through mods and patches designed to get the PC version working on modern machines.
