Our vet at Dundee Veterinary Clinic has confirmed the need for surgery, with costs for everything involved estimated between $1,340 and $1,630. To ensure we can cover the transaction fees GoFundMe deducts and have a small safety net for anything unexpected during his recovery, **we are setting our fundraising goal at $1,800.** Gambit is so much more than a pet; he's a cherished member of our family, and my connection with him runs incredibly deep. Many of you may not know, but Gambit is epileptic. When he was younger, his seizures became terrifyingly frequent and severe. Through every single episode, I held him close, sometimes for hours, whispering to him until the danger passed. That shared struggle, facing fear together, **forged an unbreakable bond between the two of us.** Thankfully, medication has kept him seizure-free for 5 precious years, and that deep connection is stronger than ever.
