A Kenworth Like No Other: The Ultimate Lowrider at MATS
Every year, the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) in Louisville brings out some of the most incredible big rigs in the industry. From custom paint jobs to wild modifications, there’s always something that steals the show. This year, one truck in particular caught my eye—a lowered Kenworth that looked straight out of a lowrider car show.
A Unique Lowrider-Style Big Rig
This vintage Kenworth, painted in an eye-catching green with rust accents, sat so low to the ground it looked like it could scrape the pavement. Its massive chrome front bumper gave it an aggressive, almost gangster-like stance—something you don’t typically see on a semi-truck. It was a perfect blend of old-school trucking and custom lowrider style, turning heads from every angle at the show.
A Work of Art on Wheels
The truck’s lowered suspension gave it that signature lowrider squat, making it look mean and ready to cruise. The mix of green and rust added to its character, giving it a weathered-yet-timeless appeal. Every detail, from the polished chrome to the carefully aged paint, made this rig stand out as a true masterpiece.
As a photographer, I couldn’t resist capturing this incredible machine. I’m Rudi Dueck, and I had the privilege of photographing this stunning Kenworth at MATS. The contrast between its vintage patina and the slick chrome details made for a striking image that perfectly embodies the creativity and passion that truckers and builders bring to the industry.
If you love unique custom trucks, this one is definitely a must-see! Check out my photo and let me know what you think—would you drive a lowrider-style Kenworth like this?
