On our trip to Phila at the end of 2019 we saw a show on the 1918 pandemic at the #MutterMuseum. And less than four months we were in lockdown in #trumpandemic... #americanamnesia

We do not know what her future holds but we hope it is bright. This is yet another crushing blow to the institution. We wish Anna all the best in whatever she does next. #muttermuseum

We would like to extend our genuine thanks to the Board for the thoughtfully moderated town hall last night. While the format was not ideal, we do believe it afforded the local public an opportunity to be heard. Now it is your responsibility to listen.

The overwhelming feedback of the town hall must not be ignored. The attendees were not merely a vocal minority, or a fringe group. You heard from the people who cherish the Mütter. Who want to see it progress, flourish and thrive. Please take heed.

● The Mütter Museum is a unique and vital collection for all people and access is paramount. This includes in-person exhibits and online materials
● Ethical review and repatriation efforts are necessary, and must be handled appropriately
● The current leadership has lost the trust of the membership, the public, and donors
● Updates to the museum surrounding accessibility, and context - from lived experience and medical history - are necessary for the successful future of the Museum

We hope you will take seriously the comments given last night, which echo the sentiments expressed online and in-person over the last several months. We look forward to continuing this conversation, and the Board's acknowledgement of overwhelming public sentiment. We also hope you took note that decorum was respected, and the heavy handed security element last night was unnecessary.

We encourage you to take a moment to read the comments on our petition, which now has over 35,000 signatures, to further familiarize yourself with the vast support the Mütter has and its importance to so many. This process you have engaged requires trust. There was a sign last night that read, "we are listening". We hope that is true.

Thank you,
