In 2016, I completed the #NOLS Wilderness First Responder #WFR cert and maintained currency until the pandemic (2020) put that all on pause. Today I am taking baby steps to get back on track toward wilderness rescue with the #AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals course. #CPR ⛑️

Fun fact: The New Orleans City Council banned carnival krewes from throwing toilet paper because of the problems it causes the sewer system. The lone exception? The Krewe of Tucks, who was the first to throw TP and for whom throwing rolls of TP is now a part of their tradition. #NOLS #MardiGras

A 1924 photograph of the McDermott Surgical Instrument Company located at 734 - 738 Poydras Street in New Orleans. Al of these buildings and indeed nearly the entire block would be demolished to make way for the Federal Reserve Bank.
