Legacy #LateNight has been an albatross around #networkTV ‘s necks anyway, & even Trump (who is weirdly right/in touch with ONE thing historically, and that’s TV ratings) said Colbert was best performing out of all of them.
I think these craven networks see value in masking this as capitulation 🤔
#NetworkTV is off my watch list.
Shows on streaming platforms and cable are definitely better, creatively speaking, and have bigger budgets that allow ‘em to make really good stuff. But I still love #NetworkTV shows. To me, they’re like comfort food. Have been watching a lot of network TV shows this past week.
While #CBS had the right to cancel #StephenColbert's show (though they did that to curry favor with Trump) if #Colbert was a #conservative, wouldn't though #Republicans be holding hearings on #Networks censoring and oppressing conservative views?
