Had to disable Dolby Vision on my Nvidia Shield TV 2019, because DV playback has been a stuttery mess for the last couple weeks.

Both the Plex app & the third party Plezy app for Plex are showing symptoms.

La Nvidia Shield reçoit encore une mise à jour et gagne le 120 Hz dans les jeux GeForce Now Nvidia n'a pas encore abandonné son boîtier multimédia Shield, lancé il y a presque 10 ans (le 28 mai 2015). Une telle durée pour les mises à jour est assez rare, spécialement pour un appareil qui fonctionne sous Android. Les nouveautés. Image iGeneration. Toutes les variantes de la Shield (les dernières datent de 2019) se basent sur le même système sur puce, le Tegra X1. C'est la même puce que dans la Nintendo Switch, et elle possède quatre cœurs Cortex A57 et quatre A53. C'était un composant très capable en son temps, équipé d'un GPU Nvidia et de nombreuses fonctions de décodage. La version Pro du boîtier. Image Nvidia. La version 9.2.1 de Shield Experience (le nom du système) est certes basée sur une version d'Android obsolète (la 11) mais Nvidia continue à corriger des bugs et à ajouter des fonctions. La version précédente amenait le support de l'Auro 3D (un système audio qui permet d'émettre du son sur le plan vertical) et la 9.2.1 ajoute la possibilité de jouer à 120 images/s si vous avez un abonnement GeForce Now et l'écran adapté. Elle corrige aussi quelques bugs, notamment liés à la prise en charge de l'audio. Les bugs corrigés. Image iGeneration. Dix ans après sa sortie, la Nvidia Shield continue d’être mise à jour Dans la pratique, la Nvidia Shield TV reste une référence dans le monde Android, 10 ans après sa sortie. Et même si quelques appareils semblent plus modernes, ils sont rarement aussi complets que le produit de Nvidia. Dans le monde Apple, l'Apple TV qui était sa concurrente directe en 2015 a par contre évolué plusieurs fois. Et Apple (comme Nvidia) propose toujours des mises à jour.

Got a PC in the office and tested streaming to my living room #NvidiaShield during lunch. Works surprisingly well, and doesn't have the weird audio issues the #SteamDeck had.

So I should be able to play on any #Chromecast now.

What I'd really like from Nvidia is a Shield Pro 2025 with HDMI 2.1 support.

I bought Shield Pro 2017 and 2019 versions, with the latter having a Tegra X1+ chip onboard. Same as #NintendoSwitch.

I better see me some Pro 2025's soon after Shield 2 launches in 2025
