"the emergence of a porous being ready to spread its wings and unfurl its subjectivity as a liberating space...it reaffirms the collection as a growing, open, diverse and mutable murmur (MACBA Barcelona).

This ain't "woke" or "left." It's the empty-headed idiocy taught by #art schools.

The image shows a mixed collage of two visuals:

On the left side, there's a grainy photograph of a figure resembling "Bigfoot" or Sasquatch, walking through a wooded area. The figure is covered in thick, dark brown fur and holds a rectangular object, possibly a large rusty saw or metal sheet, in its hand.
On the right side, there is a torn section revealing graphic, pop-art-inspired imagery. The composition includes bold red, white, and black colors with stylized close-up images of human faces and partial words like "no," "will," "be," and "s." The visual is segmented into grid-like panels, adding a modern, artistic flair.
The juxtaposition of the two visuals creates an interesting contrast between cryptid folklore (Bigfoot) and modern graphic art.

The image features a colorful, artistic collage made from torn pages.

Left Side:
A large, bold white word "CHOOSE" appears vertically on a black background.
Above the word, “dream house” is printed in pink.
Below, a photograph of an interior space shows pink curtains and a window, which creates a dreamy, moody atmosphere.
Right Side:
A mix of abstract and surreal visuals with vivid colors:
A large red kite with two hands holding it up against a bright blue sky.
Two oversized, white strawberries with green leaves floating in the composition.
A geometric, architectural structure in hues of magenta, purple, and pink fills the bottom half, resembling abstract modern art.
The juxtaposition of text, interior imagery, and surreal elements creates a layered and thought-provoking collage with a dreamlike aesthetic.

The image features a two-page mixed-media collage with contrasting visuals and themes:

Left Side:
The word “SEARCHING” is prominently displayed in large, distressed white letters against a black background.
Below, an upside-down photograph of a young girl is visible. She wears a patterned yellow and gray dress and covers her face with her hands, adding an emotional or introspective tone.
The background contains ornate furniture and muted colors, giving the scene a vintage or nostalgic feel.
Right Side:
A torn collage featuring black-and-white graphic patterns with stars and bold shapes on the left edge.
Adjacent to this, a serene photograph shows a marina with reflections of boats and masts on calm water. The colors in this section are soft blues, purples, and orange hues, evoking a peaceful, reflective atmosphere.
The collage effectively juxtaposes introspection and searching (left) with calm and reflection (right), creating a layered and thought-provoking visual narrative.

The image is a vibrant and eclectic collage combining multiple elements across two pages:

Left Side:
A photograph of two men wearing blue hats, pulling a cart with a large pig in an outdoor, rural setting. Behind them is a pink wall and an ornate house with unique patterns and turrets.
A torn green quote strip reads: "WE HAVE ALL THESE."
A smiling woman with long blonde hair and wearing a black-and-white patterned dress dominates the center of the page, creating a lively and modern juxtaposition.
Right Side:
The word "GREAT" is displayed vertically in large, bold, purple letters.
A tall and carefully constructed house of cards, predominantly red, sits on a bright yellow surface, drawing attention to its delicate balance.
To the right, a curious orange cat appears to be reaching toward the house of cards.
Above the cat, a torn section shows an “ENTRANCE” sign on a historic building, with a mix of realism and surrealism.
At the top right, handwriting in red ink reads: "Kathryn Cramer, New Journal, May 2019."
The composition blends humor, contrast, and symbolism, connecting themes of abundance, fragility, and creativity in a playful and thought-provoking way.

Art journal pages I created in Journal Club at #OCAD, an art therapy group offered by OCAD as a mental health service. May 2019, Toronto. I was a grad student; most of the rest of the club was undergrad art students. We would gather & collage together.
