New post on my blog: I built a joystick using a 2-layer PCB and some strain gauges. The #StrainStick works very similarly to a TrackPoint. There's also a small demo software that lets you use it as a mouse by connecting it to a CH32V203 dev board.

damn speaker / microphone thing has a full on XMOS sound processor but only a single mic? really neat #oshw, looks awesome, but that IMO is really weird. i guess not getting lost in DSP forever is a virtue but damn.

The #OpenKSK, an #OSHW recreation of the laser drive board used in the Sony #SegaCD Model 1 will be launching this Friday, 1/23 at 8am EST
I will also be releasing a lot of technical information on how the board works that should be useful to the community for repairing units 🙂

I am making a repro of the #SegaCD Model 1 Sony laser board, which people often damage while recapping since it's very fragile.
It is in the final stages of testing and will soon be released as #OSHW

It's a reproduction of the SHVC #SuperFamicom, but you can also build a #SNES too.
Several units have been built successfully; I am finalizing testing and will soon release it as #OSHW 😄
