Like pyrex, this heatproof dish is glass but opaque, sold as "opaline" by JAJ.
The mark shows it's English glassware made by JAJ, James A. Jobling & Co. Ltd. The fact that it's opaque dates in to the 1960s, which fits with when my mother-in-law would have been setting up her kitchen!
#QuiteInteresting collectors rabbithole taking a look at English #pyrex glassware, inherited from my mother-in-law. It's not a fruit-bowl, but a heat proof serving dish as it fits in a metal frame for a candle.
JAJ existed 1923-1973, with #opaline made in the 1960s.
