Per studiare la corona solare, la missione #Proba3 si avvvale di due navicelle che volano in formazione, a una distanza costante di circa 150 metri l’una dall’altra. Ma da metà febbraio si è perso il contatto con una delle due.

Ende Januar hat das schweizerische Unternehmen s2a systems (s2a-systems.com) mit einem ihrer Teleskope das Satellitenpaar #Proba3 aufgenommen. In den 6,5 Stunden des Zeitraffers hat sich die Entfernung zur Erde von 6.700 zu 57.000 Kilometern vergrößert.
Genau 20 Jahre nach Phase 0 der Missionsentwicklung gibt's nun die ersten Koronabilder von #Proba3.
Mit Proba-3 testet die @de.esa.int den Formationsflug zweier Satelliten mit Millimeterpräzision. Dabei dient im Abstand von 144 Metern einer der Satelliten zur Abdeckung der Sonnenscheibe.
