Statistic for an athlete at parkrun
#parkrun at Stratford-upon-Avon today with Jason who I helped to his best ever age grade! Eight hours later and I’m still delighted! It’s been a long road and it was great to be there!

Followed up this morning's #parkrun with a short spin on the road bike. 12 miles, so good prep for the next duathlon!
Fresh, but actually nice for a bike ride. Bike jersey, gilet and boots doing the trick. Enjoyed that!

Brilliant morning at Gorey #parkrun. Bumper numbers of participants (209) for our 400th parkrun, coupled with St Patrick’s Day weekend, cake and sunny weather. Another year’s best for me 29:14 and 16th in the age grade ranking. Volunteering next week.
It was a bit nice out there this morning. One of the joys of being involved with parkrun is being out so early on the weekends - honestly something I didn't think I would say 🤣

Lovely #parkrun this morning with Rich. The full English at the Daleside (with fried bread) was even better!
#parkrun Bug Hunter Waters. Cold but very sunny. My bogey run as it's 100% tarmac, straight and quite boring. I really just don't run well here. Felt tired on lap 2 so could only maintain a pace, though oddly fast 2nd KM. 24.19, as flat as last week but 40+ secs slower.

My assessment of @rtwparkrun.bsky.social course this morning:
* a few sections that were only a little bit muddy previously have improved since last week
* the very muddy sections have become stickier. (Which I guess is unavoidable if they are to dry out.)

The 8 NE Wales parkruns welcomed 1224 runners/walkers (855 for 6 events this week last year) and 184 volunteers had a blast at the same time! I may have climbed the tower in the replica Roman fort for the 1st time (not sure why I hadn’t before) #parkrun #Roman
And this is why I only just made it to a #parkrun this morning. Rolled out of bed and up to Tooting. Beautiful weather, little sign of their “water feature.”

This week was a tough parkrun. Not a PB kind of day and I struggled but I got out there and did it! Tried to "Jeff" it out after the half way point (alternating 30 seconds walking and 30 seconds sprinting) and scraped an ok time! Also look at the gorgeous gates at Catton Park! #parkrun
OH was volunteering at the inaugural Victoria Embankment #parkrun in Nottingham today, so I tagged along for a run. What a lovely day for it - sunshine and daffodils!
A nice flat two-lapper with a last little spur to the finish. Definitely worth a visit!
