Page eight. The borders surrounding each panel have become consistent & the contents of no scene escape their boundaries. Through the page, Valentia flies, harried by voices that come from all over. They are alien & strange, & she does not understand. As she flies quite a long distance over the endless fields of grass, she notices milestones in everything: a single dead tree, a knoll, a hill, a cairn, a path. Every little quality of the world becomes so significant among endless waving fields of grass. When at last she asks "Hello?" the voices stop, & the saturation leaves her as she hovers in the air, awaiting reply.

In the process, Valentia pulls her straw hat over her face & takes off flying away from Leon, who stands with a smug smirk & a paw on his hip. The world is bathed in reds & ash grays.

Page five. The borders between panels take on a sloughing, viscous quality, like water or slime. Valentia is alarmed as she removes her fwingers from her face, asking "Huh?" The world is awash in a magenta hue. When she turns her gaze upward a fluid pours onto her forehead, running down with the direction of the panels. She exclaims "What is THIS!?" to a disaffected Leon who is pouring the last droplets of water out from a waterskin onto her. "That, Chicken Little," he says, with a set of yellow eyes & an ashy quality overlaying the light on him, "was the last of our water." Valentia wilts, hunching forward as water runs down her petals. "What do you mean- Last?" She asks him with a darkening hue of magenta overtaking her. Text in an abstract shape of zigzags & lights are consuming words in the last panel. "It wont ever be like last time. I'll be there-" & further dialogue is consumed by the borders of the page. Only an "...again?" remains over it.

Page three is a sequence of panels resembling butterfly wings or rivers. Leon glares ahead with a red hue across the world. His expression softens as he speaks "Yellow." The world takes on a yellow hue for the remainder of the sequence. "I know that this is a matter that is very important to your safety, & I want to give your feelings the care it deserves. I'm scared that if we don't find a rest stop soon, we will have to turn around before things get dire," Leon explains. Valentia weeps as she speaks in turn. "It's so scary here, already! What if they need help? This feels wrong- like we shouldn't be here." Leon's pupil sharpens to a slit & his eye takes on a slight glow as he squats down in front of Valentia, calling out to her: "V." She shields her eyes beneath her fwingers, & continues. "Ever since we started this "adventure" something has been off with the flowers where ever I go. It's all so familiar. Like I'm forgetting something that I really shouldn't."

"What's wrong with asking them right now?" she queries. "Nothing is wrong with you asking" Leon replies, turning his back to continue walking. "You know I can't stand it when someone does that, Leon." "I just thought it might be wise to get to ask around." "You don't believe me." "I am wary of trusting strange cereal cults." "Flowers don't lie." Valentia spits out, with an emphasis on "don't."

"Don't you think it's for the best to learn what they're talking about?" asks Valentia, with a disturbed expression. Leon carries on walking with his back to her. "It's not like anything I've experienced before..." she goes on, catching his attention to look back. "It's kinda freaking me out how many voices are chanting all at once . . ." With a cheerful smile, Leon replies "Hmm. Okay! Let's find somewhere to refill our water & ask around."
