As I stared at this on the wall today, I had a hankerin' to post it again, my apologies. She's my favorite raptor of all time, a female Cooper's Hawk, that I call Mrs. Cooper. She let me get close for all kinds of Zen bird photography, even in black and white, like this sweet profile as she hunched over to scan the forest floor below my Emory Oak tree with a hangry gleam in her eye.
