FTA New Starts Program funding actually does encourage this, which means Austin likely has more robust TOD policies for our still in process #ProjectConnect light rail versus areas served by Metro North in CT where parking lots by light rail are still fine.

NEW: Austin will get more substantial details Friday about its light-rail plans.

The Austin Transit Partnership will release a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) Jan. 10 — detailing the impacts of the #ProjectConnect centerpiece. Will be open to comment for 60 days.
