A game of spot the difference on the #ProtectedWreck Hazardous. Images show the same area of the forward hold, one from 2019 and the other 2025. There has been no archaeological excavation in this area, all natural. #Archaeology #NavalHistory #MaritimeHistory #Shipwrecks
£15m Heritage at Risk Capital Fund for Historic England to give grants for buildings, gardens and scheduled monuments is good news. I hope one day shipwrecks will receive similar. In my quest to make shipwrecks visible checkout #ProtectedWreck Hazardous latest video youtu.be/mSg1lhLW-M4?...

The trestle-tree we recently found on #ProtectedWreck Invincible is likely to belong to the main fighting top. Why? Well, we also found the main and preventer stays in 2019. Newspaper articles from March 1758 report the main mast was cut away. #NavalHistory #shipwrecks #Archaeology #MaritimeHistory

During recent dives on the rudder of #ProtectedWreck Invincible we came across another 5 metre long timber. Not sure what it was, I asked friends at the NMRN and they ID as a trestle-tree. These supported the fighting tops. A very rare find @hefinmeara.bsky.social #NavalHistory #RoyalNavy
